We Know Exactly What You Have To Deal With, We Even Wrote A Day In Your Life:

5:15 AM
The alarm punches you in the face. You punch back. It’s leg day... for your clients. For you? It’s people-wrangling day. You slam your pre-workout and bolt out the door, wondering if this will finally be the week you stop chasing payments like a bounty hunter.

6:00 AM
First client shows up. On time. Bless. You run them through squats and supersets, doing mental math mid-rep about how many sessions you need this week just to cover rent - plus the gym’s juicy 60% cut.

7:00 AM
Next client? Ghosted. Last-minute cancel. No payment. You just stare at the empty mat like it personally owes you money. You think about sending a passive-aggressive “K” text but instead, you stretch out and call it "me time" - the unpaid kind...

9:00 AM
You are walking the gym floor, smiling like a caffeinated mall greeter, correcting form, trying to be that trainer someone randomly approaches. You get a nibble. Someone might be interested. Maybe. They said they’ll "think about it."

12:00 PM
Lunch break. Chicken, broccoli, and a voice note from your fourth client complaining about “slow progress.” It’s been six days. Six. Days.
You reply, keeping it professional: “It’s a lifestyle, not a quick fix.”
Their reply? “Cool, I’ll let you know if I wanna continue.”
Sigh.
Meanwhile, another trainer just undercut you again - R150 a session. You are charging R280 and barely making ends meet. The South African economy is not exactly cheering you on either. Clients still act like you are running a luxury spa.

3:00 PM
Time for online client check-ins. Out of everyone, one person replied. The rest? Ghost town.
You wonder if they even opened the meal plan you crafted like it was your life's magnum opus.
You are also secretly binge-watching YouTube videos about scaling your offers - group coaching, ebooks, beginner guides - anything that gets you off the hamster wheel of trading hours for coins.

5:00 PM
This is where you shine.
Energy? Electric.
Clients? Sweaty and happy.
You know you are good at what you do. But deep down, it still feels like you are clawing for every cent.

9:00 PM
You are lying in bed, phone glued to your face, DMs open, brain racing:
“How do I find clients who are actually serious?”
“What am I doing wrong?”

“Should I just drop my price?”
“Why does it feel like I have to hustle this hard just to survive?”

Also: “If I leave this gym... are they going to charge me some stupid contract break fee?”
